Clothes made from condom
What its made of
Condom is made from polyurethane IUPAC abbreviation PUR, but commonly known abbreviated PU, is a polymer consisting of a chain of organic units joined by urethane (carbamate) links. Polyurethane polymers are formed through step growth polymerization by reacting a monomer containing at least two isocyanate functional groups with another monomer containing at least two hydroxyl (alcohol) groups in the presence of a catalyst. Molecular formula of polyurethane C25H42N2O6.
structure of polyurethane
Polyurethane formulations cover an extremely wide range of stiffness, hardness, and densities. These materials include:
- Low-density flexible foam used in upholstery and bedding
- Low-density rigid foam used for thermal insulation and RTM cores
- Soft solid elastomers used for gel pads and print rollers
- Low density elastomers used in footwear
- Hard solid plastics used as electronic instrument bezels and structural parts
Polyurethanes are widely used in high resiliency flexible foam seating, rigid foam insulation panels, microcellular foam seals and gaskets, durable elastomeric wheels and tires, automotive suspension bushings, electrical potting compounds, high performance adhesive and sealants, Spandex fibers, seals, gaskets, carpet, underlay, and hard plastic parts.
Polyurethane products are often called "urethanes". They should not be confused with the specific substance urethane, also known as ethyl carbamate. Polyurethanes are neither produced from ethyl carbamate, nor do they contain it.
Advantage :
- Condoms are safe and effective at preventing both pregnancy and infection.
- Male condoms are the only reversable way for a man to protect himself against Sexually Transmitted Infections and accidental pregnancy.
- Sexual intercourse may be enjoyed more because there is less fear of STIs, HIV, and pregnancy.
- Condom application can be an exciting part of foreplay.
- Men often "last longer" when they use condoms which can make sex more fun.
- Condoms come in many colors, sizes and textures. Variety is exciting!
- Condoms make sex less messy by catching the semen.
- Condoms may reduce the risk of cervical cancer because there's less risk of HPV infection.
- Condoms do not affect the long term fertility of either partner.
- Condoms are widely accessable, and usually inexpensive.
- A good contraceptive option during breast-feeding or with other methods as a backup.
Possible Side Effects
Most men and women have no problems using condoms. Side effects that can occasionally occur include:
- allergy to latex condoms
- irritation of the penis or the vagina from spermicides or lubricants that some condoms are treated with
